Terrence Ross Introduces KardtricK™, a Card-Based System Developed Under the Pressure of Nuclear Weapons Theory

High Falls, NY — April 2026

Terrence Ross, founder of KardtricK™, has introduced a system he describes as the result of a lifetime spent thinking about nuclear weapons not as isolated devices, but as a continuous global condition.

“I don’t treat nuclear weapons as discrete objects,” Ross says. “I see them as a singularity—the singularity we missed and sat on for 80 years. That was the epistemological catastrophe. They became more than the sum of their parts, like a multicellular slime mold that suddenly congeals and starts navigating mazes.”

Ross argues that nuclear weapons should not be understood only as weapons that might be used, but as a structure that already influences how people think and live.

“We live under a system that doesn’t need to fire to control us. The possibility itself is enough. The shadow does the work.”

He describes this condition as a not-death system, in which destruction does not need to occur in order to dominate behavior.

“The threat to convert living people into refuse becomes the great attractor—the ultimate social validator around which all lesser systems organize themselves.”

KardtricK emerged from the challenge of communicating this reality in a way people could actually engage with.

“KardtricK is what happens when someone takes nuclear weapons seriously for too long. And then tries to turn that into something usable.”
